Tetsuro Sameshima, M.D., Associate

Tetsuro Sameshima, M.D., Ph.D. received his postgraduate training
in neurosurgery at University of Miyazaki Hospital (formerly known as Miyazaki
Medical College) in Miyazaki, Japan. He is certified by Japanese Board of
Neurological Surgery.
Presently, Dr. Sameshima is working as a Research
Fellow, under the direction of Drs. Allan Friedman and Takanori Fukushima, at
Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina.
Following his Fellowship at Duke University, Dr. Sameshima will resume
his duties in Japan where he specializes in skull base surgery, cranio-vascular
surgery, and spinal surgery. His areas of interest include study of
microsurgical anatomy of the skull base and work in treatment of skull base
tumors, aneurysms, pituitary disorders, hemifacial spasm, and trigeminal
neuralgia.

Stan Coffman, Medical Illustrator
Stan
Coffman received his graduate training at the University of Texas Health
Science Center in Dallas, Texas. He was Senior Medical Illustrator at the
University of Cincinnati and presently is the Medical Illustrator for Duke
University Medical Center, in Durham, North Carolina.
Mr. Coffman
specializes in Medical Illustration and Web Site Development. Areas of
specialization include Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
His illustrations have appeared in numerous textbooks, journals and he
illustrated the Atlas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, published by W.B. Saunders.
